Are both Haima populations real?
Yes. The 2020 census gives the town 7,814 and a population database gives the wilayat 10,093 for the same census. Both are published and both appear here, each labelled with what it counts. The 140 cases used to build the example rate are illustrative and the page says so.
Why is a sourced figure not enough?
Because a citation covers where a number came from, not what it counts. Both halves of a broken rate can carry perfect references. A reviewer checking provenance finds two good answers and no reason to look at the join between them, which is where the error lives.
Is there a Modern Age Coders centre in Haima?
No. No premises are claimed in Haima or anywhere in Al Wusta. Classes are live online and need a laptop or desktop, working audio, a current browser and a stable connection. The page describes where the service reaches, not a building.
Which population should somebody use?
Whichever matches the numerator. If the count covers the wilayat, use the wilayat figure; if it covers the town, use the town. The rule is not which number is better, it is that both halves of a fraction have to describe the same area over the same period.
Is this open to working adults, or school students only?
Both, with 67 as the upper limit. Adults work in Python, analytics and reporting. Anyone whose organisation reports a per-head figure where the head count comes from a different system than the numerator is looking at this exact fault. Bring the real numbers if they are yours to share.
What comes out of this project?
Column names that carry their unit, an assertion that numerator and denominator share a boundary and a period, and the habit of publishing both official figures when two exist. All three apply to any indicator anybody builds.
How much do Haima coding classes cost?
The first class is free. Standard group tuition is USD 100 per month for two live lessons each week, normally eight lessons monthly. Standard private tuition is USD 150 per month for one learner with one teacher on the same usual frequency. Course, format, recurring time and availability are confirmed before payment.
What is the class size for Haima learners?
A group normally contains five to eight compatible learners. Compatibility includes current level, learning pace and objective, not age alone. Private tuition is one learner with one teacher. If no suitable group is ready, a learner can discuss private tuition or wait for an appropriate cohort.
How are Haima class times arranged?
Oman is one and a half hours behind India. The teacher and learner agree a recurring time before payment, generally for two live lessons each week. Friday and Saturday options may be discussed subject to availability. School, work and travel schedules, examinations and Ramadan routines should be mentioned before confirmation.
What happens in the free Haima class?
We work out what the learner wants to be able to do and set one task at that level. A child counts two nested hoops and reports how many are in Haima. A teenager computes one rate on two bases. An adult is asked what the denominator of a figure they report actually counts. The teacher closes by naming a course, a format, a time and the fee in USD, and that first class is not charged for.
