Did Mahdah really change governorate?
Yes. The area was part of Ad Dhahirah Region until October 2006, when a new governorate was created from the wilayats of Al Buraymi and Mahdah. That date and that reorganisation are published. The eight year population series used in the project is illustrative rather than a published table, and the page says so.
Why is the long series more dangerous than the short ones?
Because length reads as authority. A figure covering eight years looks more solid than one covering four, so the number that spans the break is the one most likely to be quoted and least likely to be questioned. It is also the only one of the three that is about nothing that happened.
Is there a Modern Age Coders centre in Mahdah?

Boundaries carrying effective dates, a flag on the rows either side of a change, and the habit of investigating a sharp movement before explaining it. All three apply anywhere definitions can shift, which is nearly everywhere.

The teacher closes by naming a course, a format, a time and the fee in USD, and that first class is not charged for.
