ICSE Computer Applications classes in Dubai, the UAE and abroad.

Your child is at an ICSE school in Dubai, Sharjah, Singapore, West Java or near Bangkok and writes the same CISCE Computer Applications paper as a student in Kolkata. Outside India we teach the subject personalised one to one: two private live classes a week at a local time after school, with the full Java syllabus in BlueJ, the twenty-program lab file, the specimen paper, full mock papers and live doubts in every class.

Courses for ICSE students abroad

The ICSE Java course the one to one plan follows, the senior computer science course for after Class 10, and the Class 10 maths board course many ICSE families abroad add.

Ans. The short version

Students at ICSE schools outside India can study ICSE Class 10 Computer Applications with Modern Age Coders in live, personalised one to one classes. CISCE lists ICSE schools abroad in the UAE (three in Dubai and one in Sharjah), Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand, all teaching the same Computer Applications syllabus and setting the same pattern of examination. Classes run twice a week at a local time the family chooses, usually between the end of school and 9 PM, and cover the full Java syllabus in BlueJ, the twenty-plus lab assignments for the internal assessment, the specimen paper and full two-hour mocks, with live doubt solving in every class. Outside India, fees are shown and charged in US dollars.

Q1. How do the classes work from abroad?

Two private live classes a week, at a time that suits your city

Outside India, ICSE Computer Applications is taught one to one. Your child has the teacher's full attention for every class, and the timetable follows your school, not ours.

Setting the time

After the free demo, the mentor offers slots in your local time. Most families abroad choose two weekday evenings, between the end of school and 9 PM: from 3:00 PM in Dubai and Sharjah, and from 3:30 PM in Singapore, West Java and the Bangkok area. A weekend slot is possible if weekday evenings are crowded with other tuition.

The slots are not fixed for the whole year. During your school's exam weeks or holidays, classes can move, pause or increase. Schools abroad set their own holidays and exam weeks, and a one to one timetable can follow them.

What each week covers

  • Class one: a Class 10 unit taught, then Section A shapes practised: outputs traced, loops counted, errors found.
  • Class two: one Section B program family written in BlueJ, marked like the board, then added to the lab file with its variable description.
  • Every class: doubts from homework first, with your child's BlueJ window shared and the code read line by line.
  • From December: the CISCE specimen solved, then full two-hour papers timed around your school's prelims.

Q2. Where are ICSE schools outside India?

Seven ICSE schools abroad, in four countries

CISCE's school locator, checked on 13 October 2026, lists ICSE-affiliated schools outside India in only four countries. Their students sit the same Computer Applications syllabus and examination pattern as students in India.

United Arab Emirates: Dubai and Sharjah

Four schools: three in Dubai and one in Sharjah, the largest group of ICSE schools outside India. UAE time is an hour and a half behind India, so a 5:30 PM class in Dubai is 7:00 PM in India.

Singapore

One ICSE school. Singapore is two and a half hours ahead of India, so the Indian evening batch times would fall late at night there. One to one solves this: a class at 5:00 PM in Singapore is 2:30 PM in India.

Indonesia: West Java

One ICSE school, in West Java, on Western Indonesia Time, an hour and a half ahead of India. A 4:30 PM class there is 3:00 PM in India.

Thailand: Samut Prakan, near Bangkok

One ICSE school, on Thailand's time zone, which is also an hour and a half ahead of India. CISCE's regulations let Thai schools offer a Thailand version of History, Civics and Geography; Computer Applications is the same paper as everywhere else.

School numbers are from the CISCE locator on the date shown and change as schools affiliate. Neither the UK nor the US has ICSE schools, so they are not listed.

Q3. Is the ICSE exam the same outside India?

The same syllabus, the same internal assessment rules, the same timetable

What does not change abroad

  • The 2027 syllabus: Class 9 revision, classes and objects, user-defined methods, constructors, library classes, encapsulation, arrays and string handling. No recursion.
  • The written paper: 100 marks in two hours after 15 minutes of reading; Section A 40 compulsory marks, and four of six Section B programs at 15 each.
  • The internal assessment: 100 marks on at least twenty lab assignments, half from the subject teacher and half from an external examiner.
  • The ICSE timetable: one CISCE timetable for all schools. No 2027 timetable had appeared by 13 October 2026; the previous one arrived on 13 November 2025.

What your school decides

Your school sets the internal assessment dates and nominates the external examiner, who can be a teacher from the same school as long as they do not teach Computer Applications to your child's class. Whoever it is, the lab file has to make sense to a reader who has not watched it being written.

Your school also sets its prelim dates, which may not match those of schools in India. In one to one, the full mock papers are timed around them. Paper structure and the season's key dates are set out on ICSE Computer Applications exam date and paper pattern.

Q4. Why one to one, and not a batch, outside India?

Because the ICSE batch is timed for India, and your school's calendar is not India's

Our ICSE mini batch meets on Tuesday at 5:30 PM and Wednesday at 8 PM in India. For a family in Singapore that is 8:00 PM and 10:30 PM, far too late for a Class 10 student with school the next morning. Across the four countries with ICSE schools, no single pair of slots would suit everyone.

A timetable that follows your school

Schools abroad set their own terms, holidays and prelims. A private timetable can pause for exam week, add a class before a lab file deadline, or move with a new term, without waiting for a group.

The whole class is your child's

Every minute goes on your child's own programs and doubts. The teacher can see where a trace goes wrong, which string method causes confusion, and which program family needs another week, then plan around it.

The same teachers and plan

The teachers, the syllabus order, the lab file plan, the specimen and the full mock papers are the same as for the Indian mini batch. Only the format changes, from up to six students to one.

Each class is live on video with a shared BlueJ screen. In the first week the teacher helps your child set up BlueJ at home, so the environment matches what the school lab uses. To see how the course runs week by week in India, read about the ICSE Class 10 Java classes.

Q5. What does the year look like for a student abroad?

From the first class to the paper

  1. First fortnight: a diagnostic

A short Section A set and one Section B program show which units are secure and which leak marks. The plan for the year is built from that, unit by unit, with the lab file plan alongside it.

  2. Through the autumn: units and lab programs

Class 10 units are taught in syllabus order, arrays and strings with the most time, and the lab file grows by a program a week. Each one is documented with comments, a variable description and its real output, and marked against CISCE's four criteria.

  3. Before the school's assessment: an examiner rehearsal

A teacher your child has not worked with reviews the lab file and asks about it, so your child gets used to explaining their own code to a stranger before the school's examiner sees it.

  4. Winter: the specimen and full papers

The CISCE specimen is solved, then three full two-hour papers are written at home under exam conditions, each with fifteen minutes of reading first. They are reviewed in the next private class, with every lost mark rewritten. The series is described on the specimen paper and mock tests page.

  5. Throughout: progress reports

After the diagnostic, when the lab file passes twenty programs and after each full paper, parents get a short progress report. Parents abroad may never meet the teacher in person, so the report is their clearest view of how the year is going.

Q6. How can we be sure before we pay?

Judge the teaching on a real lesson, then decide month by month

Watch a lesson before deciding

Your child's first session costs nothing and is an actual Computer Applications lesson, booked for an hour that works where you live. Parents are welcome to watch. Families who want a deeper look can book the paid priority demo, which ends with a written report on your child's Java skills.

Dollar pricing, cancel any month

Families abroad see one dollar price, wherever they live. Nothing is charged for enrolment, nothing locks you into a term, and the plan simply ends at a month end if you ask it to.

A track record you can check

Modern Age Coders started teaching in 2020 and has since worked with over 10,000 learners. Its Google rating is 4.9 from 547 reviews, which any parent can read before booking. Questions go to connect@modernagecoders.com, to our phone line or to WhatsApp.

Questions from families abroad

What families abroad ask about ICSE Computer Applications classes

Do you teach ICSE Computer Applications to students in Dubai?

Yes, live online and one to one. Your child has two private lessons each week, booked for the UAE afternoon or evening once school is over. The classes cover the full ICSE Class 10 Java syllabus in BlueJ, the lab file for the internal assessment, the specimen paper and full mocks, with live doubt solving.

Why is the course one to one outside India?

Our ICSE mini batch is timed for Indian evenings, Tuesday at 5:30 PM and Wednesday at 8 PM IST, and ICSE schools abroad are spread across four countries with their own school calendars. One to one lets the class time and the plan follow your city and your school, with the same teachers and syllabus.

Do ICSE schools abroad follow a different syllabus?

No. ICSE schools abroad follow the CISCE syllabus for Computer Applications, and their students sit the same examination pattern: a 100-mark written paper in two hours and a 100-mark internal assessment on at least twenty lab assignments.

Which countries have ICSE schools?

Outside India, CISCE lists ICSE-affiliated schools in the UAE, with three in Dubai and one in Sharjah, and one each in Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand, as of 13 October 2026. There are none in the UK or the US.

What time are the classes?

At a time you choose. Most families pick two weekday evenings between the end of school and 9 PM local time: from about 3:00 PM in Dubai and Sharjah, and from about 3:30 PM in Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand. The slots can move during exam weeks and holidays.

What does one to one cost abroad?

There is a single US dollar monthly fee for students outside India, whichever country they live in. It covers two private classes a week, has no enrolment charge, and ends whenever you ask at a month end. Open this page from abroad and the fee shows in the fees section above.

Does the course cover the internal assessment?

Yes. The internal assessment is worth 100 marks, the same as the written paper. Your child builds at least twenty documented lab programs during the classes, each with comments, a variable description and its output, marked against CISCE's four criteria, and rehearses explaining them before the school's assessment.

We are moving back to India. Can classes continue?

Yes. The same teacher continues, and the class time moves to suit your new city. Families who settle in India can stay one to one or move into the Tuesday and Wednesday mini batch if the timing suits them.

Do you also teach CBSE students abroad?

Yes. CBSE schools are far more common in the Gulf than ICSE schools, and for their Class 10 students we run a Monday and Wednesday Artificial Intelligence (417) batch timed for Gulf evenings. It has its own page for families abroad.
