Every dataset has a headline characteristic, the thing anybody would name if asked to describe the row in five words. A university district. A port city. A retirement town. A young team. An enterprise account. Ask a model about a district with 6,830 students and an average income of 35,000 euro, and the students will be in the answer, because they are the most salient thing in the row and salience is what a summary is built from. The reply will connect them fluently to something. What it will not do is pause to work out that adding a large group with low earnings pushes an average down, and that the district in question sits at the top rather than the bottom.
