Beaconhouse: British stages with two senior routes
Beaconhouse International Private School's Al Khuwair site says it teaches the British curriculum through Key Stages 1, 2 and 3, then IGCSE at Key Stage 4. Its senior choice is A-Level or the General Education Diploma for Omani students, and the campus also offers KG1 and KG2.
The same official page publishes a current local-impact snapshot of 950 students and 160 professional teachers. Those figures show scale, but they do not tell a placement teacher whether one learner can debug a loop, explain a percentage or organise a spreadsheet. That requires direct evidence.
Philippine School Oman: a community-school history
Philippine School Oman gives an Al Khuwair address and says the school was conceived in 1989 by Filipino overseas workers, with support from the Philippine Honorary Consul General and cooperation from the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration.
A community-school grade and a British year are not interchangeable labels. The free Modern Age Coders class therefore asks for a recent task, a personal project or a short live attempt. It respects the learner's school route while measuring the separate skill the external course will teach.
College of Sharia Sciences: a documented institutional sequence
Oman's official higher-education directory traces the institution to the Institute of Sharia Judiciary, Preaching and Guidance established under Royal Decree 86/24. It records the 1999 name change to the Institute of Sharia Sciences, the first admission of women in 2000, and the move to an Al Khuwair campus in 2006.
The directory then cites Royal Decree 35/2014 establishing the College of Sharia Sciences and its regulations. That chronology is useful beyond local history: data work should preserve changing names and dates as separate fields, not flatten several institutional states into one undated label.
Public space with measurable dimensions
Muscat Municipality's Al Khuwair Square announcement specifies an 18,000-square-metre project and a 126-metre flagpole, alongside green areas, palms, walking and cycling paths, an outdoor arts and crafts area, a skate park and spaces for sport.
A separate municipality account of walkways reports a Wadi Al Khuwair route 220 metres long and 3 metres wide, running toward the beach. Dimensions can be verified. Visitor totals cannot be inferred from them.

A Ministry of Education report locates the Muscat education directorate's theatre opening at Dohat Al Adab School in Al Khuwair. It names a Scholars Hall, Science Hall, Conference Hall and Scholars Council, plus a student exhibition of 53 paintings. Named rooms and counted works are facts. Attendance still needs its own records.

The deliberate trap
A practice event log contains 15 rows. The token AK-04 occurs 11 times; AK-12, AK-19, AK-23 and AK-31 occur once each. Counting rows reports 15 visits. Counting distinct tokens reports 5 unique visitors. Reporting 15 people would turn one repeat visitor into eleven people.

- Use a distinct-count operation and test it against a hand-counted example.
