Modern Age Coders provides live, one-to-one online maths tuition across the UAE — in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and every emirate — for the British (GCSE, A-Level), American (SAT, AP), IB (Maths AA & AI), CBSE and UAE MOE curricula, for all ages from primary to adult.
Lessons run in Gulf Standard Time with a dedicated tutor who teaches the reasoning behind the maths, not rote memorising. Pricing is USD 100 per month (about AED 370) for eight 1:1 lessons, or USD 40 per month in a small group. The first lesson is free.
In a country of many curricula, most tutors only know one.
The UAE is unusual: within a single neighbourhood you'll find children on the British, American, IB, CBSE and Ministry of Education systems, each with its own syllabus, exams and way of doing things. A tutor who knows one curriculum well can be the wrong fit for a child on another — and families often discover this only after weeks of mismatched lessons.
The other common problem is the tutoring-mill approach: drilling past papers and tricks that lift a test score briefly but leave no real understanding underneath.
We're built for exactly this. Our tutors teach to your child's actual curriculum and school, and we match each family with a mentor who fits — so an IB student gets an IB mind, a CBSE student gets CBSE depth, a British-school student gets GCSE and A-Level precision.
And whichever system your child follows, the teaching philosophy is the same: understand why the maths works, so it transfers to the exam, the next year, and real life.
Understanding first — the same principle, whatever the curriculum.
Memorised methods fade between systems and exams. Understood ideas travel anywhere.
Match the curriculum and the mentor
We place your child with a tutor who knows their exact system — British, American, IB, CBSE or MOE — and works from their school's syllabus.
Find and fix the real gap
We diagnose the earlier idea that's actually missing, rather than just drilling the current topic, so progress is genuine.
Teach the reasoning
Every method is shown as something your child can rebuild and explain — the only kind of maths that survives an unfamiliar question.
Build fluency & exam technique
Once the idea is solid, we add the speed and the curriculum-specific exam skills that turn understanding into grades.
"BODMAS" — why the order of operations isn't an arbitrary rule.
What gets memorised: "BODMAS — brackets, orders, division, multiplication, addition, subtraction." Children chant the order and still get 2 + 3 × 4 wrong, because they've memorised a sequence without knowing why it exists.
How we do it. The order isn't a rule someone invented — it reflects what the symbols mean. "3 × 4" is shorthand for "three 4s grouped together." So 2 + 3 × 4 means "2, plus three 4s":
= 2 + 12 = 14 (not 20)
multiplication binds tighter because it is repeated addition —
it has to happen before we add the loose 2
Once a child sees that multiplication is "already a group" and so must be settled before stray additions, BODMAS stops being a chant to recall and becomes obvious. This is how we teach everything, in every curriculum: not the rule, but the reason — which is exactly what makes it stick and transfer.
The thinking that builds a strong coder is the thinking that builds a strong mathematician.
Break the big into the small
Decomposition — splitting a hard problem into steps — is the same skill in a maths word problem and a software feature.
Find the pattern
Spotting structure is what lets a coder write a loop and a student see why a method works. We grow it deliberately.
Debug your reasoning
"Where did this go wrong?" is a skill we teach directly — checking your own thinking instead of waiting for a red mark.
We're Modern Age Coders, an education company built around real coding and AI. Maths is where that logical thinking begins, and the UAE — with its push toward an AI-driven, knowledge economy — is exactly the place where students who can truly reason, not just recall, will pull ahead.
One provider for whichever system your child follows.
Each has a dedicated page — but every one is taught for understanding first.
British curriculum
Primary maths through KS3, GCSE and A-Level for the many UK-curriculum schools across the UAE.
International Baccalaureate
IB Maths AA and AI at Standard and Higher Level, plus MYP, for the UAE's large IB cohort.
American curriculum
US-curriculum maths, the SAT and AP for American-system schools in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and beyond.
Indian curriculum (CBSE/ICSE)
CBSE and ICSE maths for the UAE's very large Indian-school community.
The right fit — and an honest word on what to expect.
This fits any family in the UAE who wants serious, curriculum-matched maths help: a child slipping in school, one aiming for top grades or a competitive university, an expat family who's moved between systems, or an adult brushing up. We teach all of them, in any emirate.
What's realistic. Most families notice their child stops dreading maths within a few weeks. Grade improvements track a term of steady, twice-weekly work as the foundations rebuild — not overnight. We'll always be honest about what's achievable in your timeline.
What we won't do
- Teach the wrong curriculum to the wrong child.
- Drill tricks with no understanding beneath them.
- Promise a grade jump on an unrealistic timeline.
- Treat a child as a test score rather than a learner.

Mentors matched to your curriculum and your child.
Every tutor we take on has to know their curriculum deeply enough to explain an idea three different ways, and stay genuinely patient when a student is stuck for the fourth time. We test for both, then match each family with a mentor who fits the child and the system they follow.
Your child keeps the same tutor, so trust builds — and a child who trusts their tutor will admit "I don't get it," which is where every breakthrough begins.
"We moved from a British school to an American one and our son's maths fell apart. Modern Age Coders matched him with a tutor who knew both systems and bridged the gap. Within a term he was ahead."
