Coding classes in Barka that parse the date before sorting it

What are the best coding classes in Barka?

Barka’s current source trail crosses Khazaen Dry Port, Silal’s wholesale market role, Barka Fort and long-established schools. From beginner children to adults aged 67, Modern Age Coders delivers live online coding, AI and mathematics. The ability check is free for Barka families; a group month costs USD 100 and a private month costs USD 150.

Barka's current source trail crosses Khazaen Dry Port, Silal's wholesale market role, Barka Fort and long-established schools. The local project turns those dated public records into a timeline without letting alphabetic order rewrite history.

Facts last verified 16 August 2026. Teaching is online; no Barka branch is claimed.

Barka today

A coastal wilayat with an inland logistics calendar

Khazaen and Silal give Barka a modern data context, while the fort and schools keep the page tied to the wider community.

Oman's first integrated land port

Asyad describes Khazaen Dry Port as Oman's first integrated land port and the heart of Khazaen Economic City. It gives a total land area of 250,000 square metres.

Operations announced in 2021

An Asyad release dated 3 November 2021 announced customs-bonded operations and identified the code OMKDP. It explicitly locates the dry port in Barka.

Barka Fort's current management step

The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism dated its management and operation agreement for Barka Fort to 16 September 2025.

Date labels are evidence, not decoration

Publication date, announcement date, planned completion date and operational start date can all appear in the same source set. The learner stores the event type separately so a sorted timeline does not turn an announcement into proof of completion.

Verified local facts

Barka sources with enough detail to audit

Each point below has a first-party or government trail and a precise scope.

Customs-bonded services

Asyad lists a container terminal, cool chain, TIR transport hub, cargo clearance, bonded warehouse and container maintenance among Khazaen Dry Port services.

Two construction-area stages

The 2021 Asyad release says construction began in June 2020 on an initial 100,000 square metres, with a planned expansion to 250,000 square metres. The current port page states the 250,000 square metre total land area.

A later customs corridor

An Asyad announcement dated 11 August 2025 says Khazaen became a final customs destination for containers from international ports.

Silal in Khazaen

OPAZ's official publication says Silal began operations at the end of June 2024 and that wholesale fruit and vegetable activity transferred from Mawaleh to Barka, leaving Mawaleh with a retail focus.

A school founded in 1990

Al Takween Private Schools says it was established in Barka in 1990 under the name Tariq Bin Ziyad Private School. It lists Classera, smart boards, robotics and Python among learning technologies.

A 17-school transport phase

An Oman Ministry of Education update says the initial Barka phase of a managed school-transport project included 17 schools and would be evaluated before wider expansion.

None of these organisations endorses Modern Age Coders by being named here. Their records establish what makes Barka distinct and provide an honest dataset for parsing practice.

Signature project

The timeline that puts 2021 after 2025

The source dates are correct. The bug appears only after the program compares their display labels as ordinary text.

1. Collect the original labels

The learner records the visible publication label, source URL, event type and claim. The four core rows come from Asyad, the heritage ministry and a current Silal inspection record.

2. Demonstrate the wrong sort

Alphabetical ascending order places labels beginning with 11, 16 and 18 before the label beginning with 3. The interface therefore pushes 3 November 2021 below events from 2025 and 2026.

3. Parse and validate

The program uses a declared day-month-year format, writes an ISO value, rejects impossible dates and sorts by the parsed field. The original label remains visible for readers.

Display labelParsed ISO dateSource eventText-sort risk
3 November 20212021-11-03Khazaen Dry Port operations announcementThe leading 3 can sort after every label starting with 1

Dates need an event type too

Sorting fixes chronology but not meaning. A publication, operating start, inspection and contract signature are different events. The schema must not flatten them into a field called project date.

Reliable pipeline

Preserve the label, store the date, expose failures

One field serves readers and another serves chronological operations.

For younger learners

Event cards carry separate day, month and year fields. Learners compare year first and rebuild the sequence.

For teenagers

JavaScript or Python parses a small CSV, adds tests for invalid dates and shows why strings fail.

For adults

Database date types, timezone rules, import logs and validation dashboards make the process reproducible.

Only the four cited source rows are used as real Barka dates. Extra test cases such as an impossible 31 February are synthetic and appear only in the validation suite.

FAQ

Barka coding class questions

The answers distinguish local sources, teaching data and service details.

Can Al Takween learners in Barka join?

Yes. Learners from Al Takween or any other Barka school may take a free placement class. Modern Age Coders and the named schools are independent, and no affiliation is claimed. The teacher uses an ability-matched task to assess logic, coding, mathematical fluency and independence before suggesting a course.

Can adults working in Barka logistics enrol?

Yes. Adult learners can request Python, databases, web development, data analysis, AI automation or another suitable route, subject to placement and teacher availability. A work goal can shape the project, but learners must use public or authorised data and must never upload confidential employer, customer or shipment records.

What is the Barka date-sorting project?

The learner collects publication dates from public Barka source pages and first sorts their human-readable labels as text. The resulting timeline is wrong because day numbers and month names are not chronologically ordered strings. The repair parses each date into a real date value, preserves the original label and source, and sorts by the parsed field.

Does the project use real Barka event dates?

Yes, the source-document dates are real and cited, including public pages about Khazaen Dry Port, Barka Fort and Silal. The learner does not invent the published dates. Any extra rows used to test invalid formats are synthetic and labelled. The timeline describes publications and announcements, not guaranteed completion dates for every project.

Does Modern Age Coders have a Barka branch?

No Barka office or classroom is claimed. Classes are live online. Learners use a laptop or desktop, reliable internet, audio and a current browser. The teacher works in real time through explanation, coding, screen sharing and feedback. This page describes service availability for Barka, not a physical location.

Why is alphabetical date sorting wrong?

Text sorting compares characters from left to right. In labels such as 3 November and 11 August, the first character can dominate even though the year and month decide chronology. A safe pipeline parses the input with a declared locale or format, stores an ISO date or timestamp and reports rows that cannot be parsed.

How much do Barka coding classes cost?

The first class is free. Standard group tuition is USD 100 per month for two live lessons each week, normally eight lessons monthly. Standard private tuition is USD 150 per month for one learner with one teacher on the same usual frequency. Course, format, recurring time and availability are confirmed before payment.

What is the class size for Barka learners?

A group normally contains five to eight compatible learners. Compatibility includes current level, learning pace and objective, not age alone. Private tuition is one learner with one teacher. If no suitable group is ready, a learner can discuss private tuition or wait for an appropriate cohort.

How are Barka class times arranged?

Oman is one and a half hours behind India. The teacher and learner agree a recurring time before payment, generally for two live lessons each week. Friday and Saturday options may be discussed subject to availability. School, work and transport schedules, examinations and Ramadan routines should be mentioned before confirmation.

What happens in the free Barka class?

The teacher asks about the learner's objective and observes a short task suited to the stated level. A child may order event cards, a teenager may parse dates in Python or JavaScript, and an adult may add validation to an import pipeline. The teacher then explains the suggested course, class format, timing and USD fee. The first class requires no tuition payment.
