Why Kolkata families start here
Kolkata's Sector V in Salt Lake and the newer offices in New Town have built a real tech corridor, and that world is closer to your child than it looks. We build for it — real skills that hold up in an interview or a first internship, not just a certificate to frame.
Indian computing started in this city. The Indian Statistical Institute took delivery of the HEC-2M in February 1956 — by ISI's own account the first electronic computer installed in India, and ISI was the first place in the country to turn out trained programmers. Ten years later ISI and Jadavpur University built ISIJU-1 together, the first solid state computer made in India, commissioned in April 1966. Kolkata has been teaching people to program for longer than anywhere else in the country.
Whether your child is in a West Bengal Board, CBSE, ICSE or IGCSE school — the kind that feed Jadavpur, IIEST Shibpur and IIT Kharagpur — the plan is the same: start at the right level, build something real, and keep the momentum going.
