Your child can build with AI - and love every minute.
Live, small-batch classes where a patient mentor guides your child to make real things with artificial intelligence. Safe, screen-positive and genuinely fun, with projects your child will be proud to show you. AI is already part of the world your child is growing up in, and the children who thrive will be the ones who learn to create with it, not just consume it. We make that first step gentle, joyful and completely doable for any curious kid.

View courseWhat your child will build
AI is most exciting when children create with it instead of just watching. From the very first classes, your child makes real, playful projects they can run, share and keep improving. Each one teaches a genuine idea underneath the fun, so by the end your child does not just have something cool to show, they understand a little of how it actually works. Here are a few favourites.
A friendly chatbot
Your child designs a helper that answers questions, tells jokes and chats back. Along the way they learn how computers understand words and why an AI gives the answers it does.
An AI image creator
Type an idea, and watch your child turn imagination into pictures. They learn to describe what they want clearly, then tweak and refine, which is great practice in expressing ideas precisely.
A smart game character
Your child builds a game where a character makes its own decisions, dodges, chases or reacts. It is the perfect first taste of how AI helps things behave intelligently.
Why parents choose Modern Age Coders
Thousands of families across more than fifteen countries have brought their children to our live classes, and many arrive a little nervous. They wonder if their child is too young, whether AI is too advanced, or whether this is just more screen time in disguise. Within a session or two, those worries usually melt away. Here is what keeps families coming back, and what we promise you from the very first class.
Live small batches
Classes stay small, usually four to eight children, so your child is seen, heard and helped. No one fades into the back row.
Patient, vetted mentors
Our instructors are chosen for warmth and patience as much as skill. They explain gently, never rush, and genuinely enjoy teaching young learners.
Age-appropriate and safe
Tools, language and projects are all chosen for ages 6 to 12. Supervised sessions, careful content, and a calm, encouraging space to learn.
Project-based and creative
Your child learns by making, not by memorising. Every class ends with something built, which keeps motivation high and learning real.
Progress you can see
You receive updates on how your child is doing, and you can watch the projects pile up. Real progress, not vague promises.
Flexible scheduling
Pick times that suit your family and time zone. Classes run across the week, so learning fits around school, sport and rest.
A global community
Your child learns alongside curious kids from many countries, making friends and seeing that creativity has no borders. Sharing projects with a wider group builds confidence and a sense of belonging that lasts well beyond any single class.
How a class works
Every session is live, guided and hands-on. There are no pre-recorded videos to half-watch and no lonely homework that leaves your child stuck. A real mentor is there from the first minute to the last, ready to encourage, explain and celebrate. Here is what a typical class looks like from the moment your child joins.
Live and online
Your child joins a real class from home, with a mentor present and ready to help the whole way through.
A small group
Just a handful of children, so the pace is comfortable and every question gets answered.
A mentor guides
Step by step, the instructor shows, explains and checks in, so no child gets left behind or lost.
Your child creates
They build, test and tinker. Making something real, not just watching a screen or copying along.
You stay updated
You get progress notes and get to see what your child made, so you always know it is time well spent.
Because the groups are small, mentors quickly learn how each child thinks, what excites them and where they need a little extra encouragement. Quiet children get gently drawn in, and confident ones get stretched with bonus challenges. The result is a class that feels personal, never rushed, and always tuned to your child rather than a one-size-fits-all script.
Is my child ready?
If you are wondering whether your child is too young, too new or not techy enough, the honest answer is that they are almost certainly ready. The skills that matter most at this age are curiosity, imagination and a willingness to try, and children have all three in abundance. The technical parts we teach gently, one small win at a time. Here is why you can relax.
No prior experience needed
Most of our youngest students arrive having never coded a thing. Curiosity is the only requirement, and children have plenty of that.
We start where they are
The first class meets your child at their level. We never assume, never rush, and build confidence one small win at a time.
Grouped by age, 6 to 12
Children learn alongside others at a similar stage, so the projects, pace and language always feel right for them.
Screen time that builds skills
This is the kind of screen time you can feel good about. Your child creates, thinks and problem-solves instead of scrolling.
Looking for a different age group?
We teach AI to learners of every stage, from first-timers to ambitious teens building serious projects. If your child sits just outside the 6 to 12 range, or you want to learn alongside them, explore the right fit for your family below.
Frequently asked questions
What age is right to start?
Our AI classes for kids are built for ages 6 to 12, and we group children by age so the pace and projects always fit. Younger children begin with visual, drag-and-build tools and friendly AI helpers, while older children move into typing simple code and training their own little models. Wherever your child sits in that range, there is a comfortable starting point.
Does my child need any coding experience?
No prior experience is needed at all. Most of our youngest students have never written a line of code, and that is completely fine. Mentors start with the basics, explain everything in plain language, and let your child learn by making things. Curiosity matters far more than any head start.
Are classes live or recorded?
Every class is live and online with a real instructor present the whole time. Your child can ask questions, get instant help, and show off what they built. This is not a video library to watch alone. It is a small, guided session where a mentor responds to your child in real time.
Is it safe and age-appropriate?
Yes. Classes run in small, supervised batches with vetted mentors, age-appropriate tools, and content chosen carefully for young learners. We focus on creating and understanding rather than passive scrolling, so screen time becomes time well spent. Parents are welcome to sit in, especially for the first sessions.
How does the free trial class work?
Book a free trial class and your child joins a live session with a mentor at a time that suits you. They get a real taste of building something with AI, and you get to see the teaching style and ask any questions. There is no obligation to continue. It is simply the easiest way to know if it is the right fit.
Is it worth my child learning AI this young?
Yes. Early, hands-on exposure builds creativity, problem-solving and quiet confidence with the tools that are shaping their future. We are not turning six-year-olds into engineers. We are helping children understand how AI works, use it thoughtfully, and feel like makers rather than just users, all in an age-appropriate and playful way.
See your child light up in a free trial class
One live session is all it takes to see the difference patient mentors and real projects can make. There is no pressure and no commitment, just a fun first taste of building with AI, and a chance for you to watch how your child responds. Most parents tell us the smile at the end says it all. For older or first-time learners, our real coding classes go deeper too.
