Questions

Frequently asked

Who can participate?
Anyone, anywhere in the world — any age, any skill level. You don't need to be a Modern Age Coders student. Registration is individual; you can form a team of up to 4 after you register, during the build round.
How much does it cost & how do I pay?
Just ₹500 per participant, paid securely online via Razorpay (UPI, cards, net-banking & wallets). Hit “Register Now”, fill in your details, and complete payment — you'll get instant confirmation.
Can I really use AI tools and agents?
Yes — everything is allowed and encouraged. Cursor, Windsurf, Copilot, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Gemini, v0, Bolt, Lovable, Replit Agent, Devin… use whatever makes you the best builder. There are no restrictions on tooling.
Do I need a team?
No. You register and compete as an individual. If you'd like to collaborate, you can team up with up to 3 others (4 total) once the build round begins. Solo builders are completely welcome.
What are the 3 rounds?
Round 1 — submit your idea & problem pitch (screening). Round 2 — the 48-hour build sprint where you ship a working solution. Round 3 — the grand finale where finalists demo live to judges and winners are announced.
How is the ₹30,000 split?
The top 5 share ₹20,000, graduated by rank — ₹6,000 / ₹5,000 / ₹4,000 / ₹3,000 / ₹2,000. Ranks 6–10 each receive ₹2,000 (₹10,000 total). All ten winners get paid, and a higher rank never earns less than a lower one.
What should I build?
Anything that solves a real-life problem — in healthcare, education, sustainability, fintech, daily-life automation, or a fully open wildcard. The judges reward genuine impact over flashy demos.

About Modern Age Coders Hackathon 1.0

Modern Age Coders Hackathon 1.0 is one of the biggest online hackathons of 2026 — a global, build-anything competition open to everyone, everywhere. Whether you are a school or college student, a self-taught beginner, a working developer, or a designer who has never shipped code before, you can register, build, and win. There are no eligibility gates: any age, any country, any skill level. You register as an individual for just ₹500, and you can team up with up to four people once the build round begins.

The mission is simple but serious: solve a real-life problem. Instead of rewarding throwaway clones and demos that never ship, this hackathon rewards working solutions to genuine problems in healthcare, education, sustainability, fintech, daily-life automation, and AI — or any open, wildcard idea you believe in. The best builders walk away with a share of a ₹30,000 prize pool, certificates, and a winner's spotlight from Modern Age Coders.

Use any AI tool, agent or IDE

This is an AI-friendly hackathon. Every AI tool, autonomous agent and AI-native IDE is allowed and encouraged — Cursor, Windsurf, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Gemini, v0, Bolt, Lovable, Replit Agent, Devin, Kiro, Antigravity and anything else you like. We are not testing whether you can type code by hand; we are searching for the world's best builder — the person who ships the most useful real-world solution by any means.

How the three rounds work

Round 1 — Idea & Problem Pitch: after registrations close, you submit the real-life problem you are tackling and your approach. Our panel screens entries and shortlists the strongest ideas. Round 2 — the 48-Hour Build Sprint: the clock starts and you build a working solution in 48 hours, solo or in a team of up to four. Round 3 — the Grand Finale: finalists present live to the judges, defend their build, and the top 10 winners are crowned. Projects are judged on real-world impact, innovation, execution, and presentation.

Prizes & key dates

Registrations are open now and close on 6 June 2026, the three rounds run from 7 June (48-hour build sprint 9–11 June), and the grand finale with winners is on 12–13 June 2026.
