Date labels are evidence, not decoration Publication date, announcement date, planned completion date and operational start date can all appear in the same source set. Verified local facts ## Barka sources with enough detail to audit Each point below has a first-party or government trail and a precise scope. ### Customs-bonded services Asyad lists a container terminal, cool chain, TIR transport hub, cargo clearance, bonded warehouse and container maintenance among Khazaen Dry Port services. ### Two construction-area stages The 2021 Asyad release says construction began in June 2020 on an initial 100,000 square metres, with a planned expansion to 250,000 square metres. The current port page states the 250,000 square metre total land area. ### A later customs corridor An [Asyad announcement dated 11 August 2025](https://www.asyad.om/WorkWithUs/investors-relations/2025/08/11/khazaen-dry-port-launches-secure-customs-corridor-with-sohar) says Khazaen became a final customs destination for containers from international ports. ### Silal in Khazaen OPAZ's official publication says Silal began operations at the end of June 2024 and that wholesale fruit and vegetable activity transferred from Mawaleh to Barka, leaving Mawaleh with a retail focus. ### A school founded in 1990 [Al Takween Private Schools](https://www.altakween.om/) says it was established in Barka in 1990 under the name Tariq Bin Ziyad Private School. It lists Classera, smart boards, robotics and Python among learning technologies. ### A 17-school transport phase An [Oman Ministry of Education update](https://moe.gov.om/) says the initial Barka phase of a managed school-transport project included 17 schools and would be evaluated before wider expansion. None of these organisations endorses Modern Age Coders by being named here. Their records establish what makes Barka distinct and provide an honest dataset for parsing practice. Signature project ## The timeline that puts 2021 after 2025 The source dates are correct. The bug appears only after the program compares their display labels as ordinary text. ### 1. Collect the original labels The learner records the visible publication label, source URL, event type and claim. The four core rows come from Asyad, the heritage ministry and a current Silal inspection record. ### 2. Demonstrate the wrong sort Alphabetical ascending order places labels beginning with 11, 16 and 18 before the label beginning with 3. The interface therefore pushes 3 November 2021 below events from 2025 and 2026. ### 3. Parse and validate The program uses a declared day-month-year format, writes an ISO value, rejects impossible dates and sorts by the parsed field. A publication, operating start, inspection and contract signature are different events. The schema must not flatten them into a field called project date.
