## Faqs

**Question:** What age is appropriate for this AI tools course for teens?

**Answer:** This course is for ages 13 to 18. The age floor is not arbitrary: most AI tools set 13 as their own minimum in their terms of use, so a younger student cannot lawfully hold an account. Every tool in this course is one a 13+ student can actually sign up for. If your child is under 13, ask us about our AI courses built for that age group instead.

**Question:** Is it safe for my teenager to use AI tools?

**Answer:** Safety is built into the course, not bolted on. We teach it from day one: never share personal information, always verify what the AI tells you, understand what it cannot do, and know when not to use it at all. We also check each tool's own age requirement before we teach it, and we tell students plainly which tools they are not old enough for yet.

**Question:** Does my teenager need any prior experience to start this course?

**Answer:** No prior experience is needed! We start from the very basics of what AI is and how it works. The course is designed for complete beginners while also challenging those who already have some familiarity with AI tools.

**Question:** Will my teenager learn actual skills or just play with AI toys?

**Answer:** This is a comprehensive skill-building program! Students learn prompt engineering, critical thinking, creative problem-solving, digital literacy, and ethical reasoning. They work with professional AI tools used in real industries, from ChatGPT to Midjourney to coding assistants.

**Question:** How will this course help my teenager's future career?

**Answer:** AI literacy is becoming essential across all careers. This course prepares students for the AI-driven future with skills in prompt engineering, AI ethics, creative AI applications, and critical evaluation of AI outputs. These skills are already in high demand across industries.

**Question:** What equipment does my teenager need for this AI course?

**Answer:** A basic computer or laptop with internet connection is sufficient. Some tools work on tablets too. All software used is either free or has free educational versions. We guide parents on setting up safe accounts with appropriate controls.

**Question:** Can my teenager use every tool in this course?

**Answer:** Almost all of them, from 13. A few are marked (14+) or (16+) because the company that makes them sets that as its own minimum age in its terms of use, so a younger student cannot lawfully hold an account. Those tools are demonstrated in class and picked up later, rather than skipped. We check every tool's published age limit before we teach it, and we publish what we found, including the tools we rejected and why, in our AI tool age guide at /ai-tools-age-guide.
