## Abitur Mathematik in English: Leistungskurs and Grundkurs

*Analysis, Analytische Geometrie and Stochastik for the Abitur, live and in English, with a mentor who matches your pace and accent and explains every step clearly.*

This is a live online maths course for students in the gymnasiale Oberstufe in Germany preparing for the Abitur in Mathematik, at Leistungskurs (erhöhtes Anforderungsniveau) or Grundkurs (grundlegendes Anforderungsniveau) level. It covers the three areas of the written exam: Analysis, Analytische Geometrie or Lineare Algebra, and Stochastik, plus the exam technique for the part without aids and the part with aids.

Classes are live and taught in English only. The mentor matches each student's pace and accent: speaks clearly, slows down through long derivations, rephrases and checks understanding. A student whose first language is German gets Abitur maths help and English practice in the same class, which helps with English-language degrees and maths texts later. We never teach in German, but every worksheet puts the German term beside the English one (Ableitung and derivative, Wendepunkt and point of inflection, Zufallsgröße and random variable), so the work maps straight onto school notes and the exam paper.

The course is built on the format of the common Länder task pool. The IQB, which coordinates the pools, says that since the 2017 exam year the Länder have had common Abitur task pools in German, maths, English and French, and each Land's own commission decides which pool tasks it uses and how far it adds its own. The IQB describes the maths exam as two parts: in Part A no aids are allowed, and in Part B aids may be used, with Analysis, Analytische Geometrie or Lineare Algebra, and Stochastik in both. Part A must be handed in within the first 110 minutes at raised level and the first 100 minutes at basic level. The raised-level exam is worth 100 Bewertungseinheiten with "Die Arbeitszeit einschließlich Auswahlzeit beträgt 300 Minuten", and the basic-level exam 80 Bewertungseinheiten in 255 minutes. In NRW, for example, the 2027 written maths Abitur for LK and GK is on Wednesday 5 May 2027.

Every practice problem and mock paper in this course is our own, written in the pool format. After each exam year the IQB publishes the pool tasks the Länder used, with expectations and marking notes, and students can work those themselves; we never copy them into our materials. Topics, aids and rules differ by Land, so the mentor maps the course to the student's Land in the first class. We are independent of the IQB and every Land ministry and make no promise of grades.

**What Makes This Different:**

- Live classes in English only, with a mentor who matches your pace and accent and slows down through every long derivation
- Built on the IQB common pool format: Part A without aids, Part B with aids, Analysis, Geometrie and Stochastik in both
- Leistungskurs and Grundkurs paths, with full mocks timed at 300 and 255 minutes
- A weekly no-aids drill, because Part A must be handed in within 110 minutes (LK) or 100 minutes (GK)
- German term beside the English one on every worksheet, so class maps straight onto the exam paper
- Mapped to your Land's topics and aids in the first class, with our own original problems only

## Faqs

**Question:** What is the Abitur Mathematik in English course?

**Answer:** A live online course for Oberstufe students in Germany, roughly ages 16 to 19, preparing for the maths Abitur at Leistungskurs or Grundkurs level. It covers Analysis, Analytische Geometrie or Lineare Algebra, and Stochastik, plus exam technique for the parts with and without aids. It runs for 24 weeks with 2 live classes a week, taught in English.

**Question:** Are the classes in German or in English?

**Answer:** English only. We never teach in German. The mentor matches your pace and accent: speaks clearly, slows down through long calculations, rephrases and checks understanding. Many students see this as a plus, because they get Abitur maths help and English practice at once. Every worksheet puts the German term beside the English one, so the maths maps onto your school notes and exam paper.

**Question:** How is the written maths Abitur structured?

**Answer:** For tasks from the common pool, the IQB describes two parts: Part A without aids and Part B with aids, both covering Analysis, Analytische Geometrie or Lineare Algebra, and Stochastik. Part A must be handed in within the first 110 minutes at raised level and 100 minutes at basic level. The raised-level exam is worth 100 Bewertungseinheiten in 300 minutes and the basic-level exam 80 in 255 minutes, both including choice time. Each Land decides which pool tasks it uses and may add its own.

**Question:** Is the course for Leistungskurs or Grundkurs?

**Answer:** Both. The Grundkurs path covers the core of all three areas, and the Leistungskurs path adds depth such as more complex function families, distances between skew lines and confidence intervals. Full mocks are timed at 300 minutes for LK and 255 minutes for GK.

**Question:** When is the maths Abitur in 2027?

**Answer:** It depends on your Land. The IQB says that since 2022 the maths exams have been held largely on common dates across Länder. In NRW the written maths Abitur for LK and GK is on Wednesday 5 May 2027. Check your own Land's ministry or school for your date.

**Question:** Do you use real Abitur tasks?

**Answer:** No. Every problem and mock in the course is our own, written in the pool format. The IQB publishes the pool tasks the Länder used after each exam year, with expectations and marking notes, and students can work through those themselves. We never copy them into our materials.

**Question:** Which calculator or CAS should I use?

**Answer:** The one your Land and school permit for Part B. We practise with whichever aid you are allowed. KMK notes that new common rules on digital aids apply from the 2030 Abitur, so students taking the Abitur later should check their Land's rules.

**Question:** My English is not strong. Will I keep up?

**Answer:** Maths is mostly symbols, and the mentor slows down, repeats and rephrases whenever you ask. Many students find the maths vocabulary in English quick to learn when it sits beside the German term on every worksheet. The free first class shows you whether the pace suits you.

**Question:** When are classes, with the time difference to India?

**Answer:** Timing is flexible on weekdays or weekends: choose a batch, or 1-on-1 at your convenience. Our teachers work in India time, which is 4 hours 30 minutes ahead of Germany in winter and 3 hours 30 minutes ahead in summer, so German afternoon, early evening and weekend slots are realistic.

**Question:** Do you promise a grade?

**Answer:** No. We promise careful teaching, honest feedback and regular timed practice. We are independent of the IQB and every Land ministry, and our certificate is not an Abitur grade or German qualification.

**Question:** Can I try a class first?

**Answer:** Yes. The first class is a free demo, so you can hear the mentor's pace and decide with no pressure.

**Question:** Can I watch how you teach before enrolling in this course?

**Answer:** Yes. Full recordings of real, unedited classes for ages 13 and up are free to watch: Free to watch. No payment, no card, just a quick Google sign-in. These recordings show how we teach, not the exact syllabus of this course. Some classes are in English and some in Hindi; everyone follows at their own pace. Watch a class end to end, like you are in it. Sessions are interactive and each moment builds on the last.

**Question:** Can I enroll without a live demo?

**Answer:** Yes. Choose a plan on this page and enrol directly. A demo is optional: if you would like to see a full class with a mentor first, book a Priority Demo, a live class of about 45 to 60 minutes. Questions: WhatsApp +91 91233 66161 or email connect@modernagecoders.com.
